Two polls show American's support for U.S. troops to support NATO countries regardless of political affiliation. A Monmouth University poll showed that 69% of Americans support sending troops to NATO allies as a deterrent to keep Russia from invading those countries, including 78% of Democrats, 65% of Republicans, and 65% of Independents. A Quinnipiac University poll revealed that 74% of Americans upport military response from the U.S. if Putin attacks a NATO country, including 83% of Democrats, 74% of Republicans, and 71% of Independents.
