A majority of people of both parties, as well as independents, say it is important for Congress to hold hearings so that the public can learn what led to the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, according to a recent Quinnipiac poll. Democrats showed the strongest support with 95% saying it was very or somewhat important. The percentage of Republicans was lower at 52%, but still a majority, and the percentage of Independents was 68%.
