According to a 19th News/Survey Monkey poll released today, 70% of Americans believe politicians are not informed enough to make fair policy decisions on abortion. This opinion crosses party lines with 70% of Democrats, 74% of Republicans, and 67% of independents agreeing.
Although people tend to view abortion as purely a red or blue debate, that is not the case. There are areas of agreement that span party lines. We have previously reported on two policy issues in the abortion debate that are PURPLE: Not Charging Women & Doctors with Felony Murder for Abortion and Abortion Should Be Legal in the Case of Rape or Incest, the latter of which carries so much agreement we rate it as AMETHYST.
