PURPLE: Americans Being United After 9/11

A poll published last week by the nonprofit More in Common shows that 73% of Americans including 84% of Republicans, 72% of Democrats and 69% of independents believe that Americans being united defined the period after 9/11. In addition, the poll revealed that 63% of both Republicans and Democrats (and 56% of independents) remembered that period as a time where American politicians worked together.

The poll also indicated that Americans regardless of party feel it is important to remember the victims and their families as well as the sacrifices of the first responders.

Please take time today to remember those who lost their lives in this tragedy. Then tomorrow take the time to work toward healing the divisions in country, for it should not take another tragedy for Americans to be united again. A nation indivisible calls for red & blue working together.
