AMETHYST: Politicians and the Media are Stoking Division (and what you can do about it)

According to a recent FiveThirtyEight/Ipsos survey, Americans regardless of political affiliation believe political leaders, wealthy donors, social media, and mainstream media each have had a major or significant impact on driving political division. Agreement was so strong for each of these that they rate Amethyst (deeply purple). Three other topics - racism, information technology, and wealth inequality had significant enough agreement to be rated Purple, and even Conservative Media had enough agreement to be rated Lavender. Specific results are shown in the chart below.
