Even if you find yourself disagreeing with another American, there's something that you probably have in common. According to a poll published earlier this month by the nonprofit More in Common, more than three-quarters of Americans agree with the statement "I'm proud to be an American." Positive responses crossed party lines with 74% of Democrats, 94% of Republicans, and 72% of independents agreeing. The same poll also revealed that 74% of Americans agreed that they are accepted in U.S. society including 77% of Democrats, 83% or Republicans, and 73% of independents.
