A large majority of voters aren't worried about being audited due to the potential boost in enforcement that may come with the Inflation Reduction Act, according to a new Morning Consult poll. 76% of all voters said they were not concerned, and the tallies by party affiliation were strikingly similar as 74% of Democrats, 77% of Republicans, and 78% of independents said they were not concerned. With agreement this high, we rate not being concerned with an IRS audit as AMETHYST.
The same poll showed that a majority of voters were not concerned with the increase in IRS audits generally. Again the results were similar across party lines, so we classify this view as PURPLE.
