Providing tax credits to Americans who install clean energy systems, like solar power, in their homes was rated so strongly that it rates AMETHYST on our scale. It is favored by 89% of Americans including 98% of Democrats and 78% of Republicans.
Providing tax incentives to businesses to promote their use of wind, solar and nuclear power is favored by 75% of Americans including 88% of Democrats and 62% of Republicans.
Setting higher fuel efficiency standards for cars, trucks and buses is favored by 71% of Americans including 89% of Democrats and 56% of Republicans.
A fourth policy, establishing strict limits on the release of methane in the production of natural gas, is rated LAVENDER as it is favored by 62% of Americans including 76% of Democrats and 48% of Republicans.
